OLD SCHOOL BRAND™ WHITE GRAVY
¼ cup White Gravy Mix.
¼ cup shortening or cooking oil.
1¾ cups milk.
Heat shortening over medium heat in heavy skillet. Stir in gravy mix and stir for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Slowly pour in milk, stirring briskly with wire whisk until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat, stirring constantly, and remove from heat when desired consistency is reached. Yield: 2 cups gravy
OLD SCHOOL BRAND™ CHICKEN GRAVY
Follow directions above, substituting 2/3 cup chicken stock for shortening. Cook until paste like. Slowly add milk, stirring briskly with wire whisk until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat, stirring constantly, add 2 cups cooked, diced chicken. Salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and serve over biscuits, toast, or rice.
